Metallizzazione is also engaged in the overhauling and remaking of disused or obsolete machine parts and machinery. In the tube sector we have remade drawings with measurements in inches for American machine parts over thirty years old. The remade parts have not only to meet full working requiremets but must also be able to adapt to modern tecnology so ensuring superior performance. Photo 6 shows a mandrel which can turn a tube weighing 3000 kg at 250 r.p.m. This machine stops three time per minute. Our tecnology has made it possible for us to replace the original cast part with a forged-welded item.
By giving this cutting machine a complete overhaul (photo 7), the customer has been given guaranteed excellent service in terms of preparation time, quality and productive performance. The machine cust couplings measuring from 4 1/2" to 24 1/2", three shift per day, 220 days per year. This machine's productivity has been increased by 30% after a rehaul with special attention being paid to the gearcase so dramatically reducing the previous level of vibration.
